Overview

Do you have a PVE1200 or PVE2500 inverter which is showing a fault code / error light? You’ve come to the right place! Browse the table below to find out what each fault code / error message means.

Latronics is an Australian-based manufacturer of inverters which manufactured 1.2kW and 2.5kW solar inverters. The older models were installed between 2009-2011 and came with a 5 year warranty. Latronics inverters installer after 2011 only came carried a 3-year warranty.  Latronics were produced in Queensland and are considered a very basic, “plug and play” solar inverter.  Latronics inverters are also known as PVEdge – or – PVE for short.

Latronics inverters use LED lights to show fault codes. These have been broken down in the table below.

Fault Codes

Fault CodeError TypeRemedy
50% Grid out of rangeIf the 50% indicator light is flashing it can be an indication of a legitimate grid voltage issue. If it is lit constantly, you should check the isolators – in particular the solar supply main switch – are both on. If all isolators are on, the unit may need replacing. Latronics offers replacement units, however these may be as expensive as a complete new system once the Government rebate is factored in. Contact Goodhew for further guidance.
75% Grid out of rangeIf the 75% indicator light is flashing it can be an indication of a legitimate grid voltage issue.
100% OverloadThe 100% light should only be lit when the system is overloaded during perfect solar conditions.
 Loud noise
Inverter deadIf you Latronics inverter is dead, you should check if the isolators – in particular, the solar supply main switch – are on. If all isolators are on, the unit may need replacing. Latronics offer replacement units; however,
Production lights lower than expectedIf the lights on your Latronics PVEdge inverter don’t shine as brightly as you’d expect, please contact us for more information and to book in a solar maintenance inspection in order to verify if the problem can be fixed.

IS YOUR PVEdge 1200 OR PVEdge 2000 SHOWING A FAULT CODE?

Latronics is an Australian manufacturer with headquarters on the Sunshine Coast. Due to the age of most Latronics PVEdge inverters, warranties are not available. The company offers replacement inverters; however, in most cases this will cost as much as a complete new system.
