Goodhew Electrical and Solar is a local Cleveland-based company specialising in solar power, off-grid systems, electrical, lighting and air conditioning. The business was founded in 2007 by Redland Coast locals Gavin and Anneke Goodhew and is now one of the largest and longest-established solar retailers in Queensland.
From the outset, the company has been at the forefront of retail solar innovation bringing the latest solar products to the local market. This innovative approach, together with a strong commitment to quality is core to the Goodhew way and our reputation is a testament to this with nearly 20,000 satisfied customers enjoying the benefits of a Goodhew Solar System on their home or business.
At Goodhew Electrical and Solar, it’s not just about installing panels on a roof – it’s about so much more – an end to end process with ongoing customer care for the life of the system. We work with our customers to design a system for their needs – whether it is to offset growing energy costs, eliminate power bills through credit or to be completely self-sufficient off grid. We then install and commission the system using only fully-qualified, in-house CEC / SAA accredited installers (no subcontractors). Once installed, Goodhew Solar Consultants are able to monitor the system and are notified to any abnormalities in real time which allows us to contact the customer and dispatch a technician to fix the problem.
Founded in 2007 in Cleveland on the Redlands Coast of Brisbane, Goodhew has already helped over 18,000 customers gain energy independence through reducing or in many cases completely eliminating power bills.
Our business objective is to champion the transition to renewable energy across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. DIRECTOR & MASTER ELECTRICIAN
Gavin is a Master Electrician with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. Gavin has been instrumental in the uptake of solar throughout the years with a strong focus on building a company that values quality in everything it does. Gavin holds CEC accreditation in the design and installation of Grid-connect, hybrid and off-grid solar systems and is also a Growatt, SMA, Fronius, Selectronics and Victron certified partner.
FINANCE DIRECTOR
With an extensive background in business, Anneke oversees the day-to-day operations of the Goodhew office, all company finances and compliance. Anneke oversees the contract management of larger projects and is key to the successful delivery of projects such as Sheldon College and the Cleveland Aquatic Centre for Redland City Council.
OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR & LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
Cameron is our operations supervisor and is responsible for the management of our installation and maintenance crews in addition to workshop operations. As a Licensed electrician with CEC accreditation, Cameron has extensive experience in the solar industry working on some of Queensland’s largest installations.
SOLAR CONSULTANT & LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
Matt is a Licensed electrician and oversees the sales and estimating process at Goodhew. Ably assisted by the team, Matthew guides our customers through their solar journey from the very first point of contact. Matt is always more than happy to visit your property, meet you face-to-face and chat about your energy needs.
MARKETING COORDINATOR
Clayton is our Marketing Coordinator and oversees our marketing strategy, tender writing and customer/community engagement. When he’s not writing blogs, designing ads or posting content, Clayton is helping our customers start saving on their power bills and reach energy independence as a Solar Consultant.
SCHEDULER
Fiona is our scheduler-extraordinaire. She liaises with our customers to book their installation at the earliest possible day. Fiona also deals with manufacturer warranties and insurance and is responsible for lodging any claims
ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Monique is our office allrounder and also oversees the Energex and RECS process. Monique is an expert when it comes to paperwork and is more than happy to help our customers with any problems they may have.
IT TECHNICIAN
Rod assists our customers with connecting their new systems to the internet. Rod is a proud solar ambassador and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have about your solar system.
